Birds of prey at lunch.

I’ve watched this Buzzard during my working day and discovered a bit of a pattern in its behaviour.. During the day it was always at two places on our buildings roof, a bit further in the day it went to a tree next to the bike path and around noon it almost always sat on a fence post next to the bike path where it spent the rest of the day..

So during an late shift I took my big lens with me.. and a few hours before sunset I went over the terrain every now and then until I saw it sitting on one of the fence posts (see picture mobile). It stayed seated and I step by step came closer and closer, until I was so close my lens could not get focus..

I was able to enjoy myself for an hour or so, unfortunately the light didn’t work that day… but despite that I was still able to get some nice pictures out of it. Unfortunately a couple of weeks later it had left and we didn’t see it anymore..
